The Smart Sole 4 is engineered and designed to make the short game even easier. It provides off the charts forgiveness and playability due to Cleveland’s new hollow-cavity and all-around versatility of the dynamic Smart Sole. This design is perfect for the player who already plays cavity back irons as they fit straight in. It ensures great contact, even when the swing isn’t perfect.

A hollow chamber near the heel and extra weight in the toe maximises moment of inertia and perimeter weighting for Cleveland’s unmistakable short game forgiveness. An extra-wide three-tiered sole with added leading edge bounce provides maximum forgiveness from the fairway, rough or bunker. Three different sole grinds are available, all 3 optimised by loft to execute any shot needed on the course.

As with all Cleveland wedges made over the years, feel and balance is at the top of the agenda. Enhanced feel-balance technology comes together to deliver a toe-bias centre of gravity, whilst a clever Gelback TPU insert reduces unwanted vibration for a pure, smooth as silk impact.

Cleveland’s propitiatory fourth generation Rotex Face delivers the sharpest most aggressive grooves to date. Now we are talking! The 3 models are as follows:

C-Smart Sole: (42º) The C-Smart Sole glides through turf so you will not get stuck in the mud and left with egg on your face. A great chipper for foolproof chips.

G-Smart Sole: (50º) Forgiving gap wedge for drop and stop approach shots into the green.

S-Smart Sole: (58º) A sand wedge for easy bunker escapes. The S-Smart Sole will help you get out of steep bunkers and deep rough with relative ease. Also for those lob shots with an open face that land soft and impresses all of your playing partners. The S-Smart Sole offers added versatility.
