The looks are impressive by anyone’s standards, the gorgeous flowing blade styling with just the classy ‘Mizuno Pro’ script and 221 tucked into the corner, and of course, the iconic Runbird discreetly shown in the centre. The taller pad straight behind the hitting zone and copper underlay underneath the chrome/satin finish both enhance the feedback and consistency. This is designed for faster swingers who seldom miss the middle of the face, if you do the drop-off in distance will be noticeable but middle strikes will be ‘wow’.

Made from a single billet of 1025E mild carbon steel in Hiroshima, Japan, Mizuno have relocated the mass from the heel and moved it to the muscle pad of the clubhead, matching this with the copper underlay gives the distinctive feel and sound Mizuno are famous for. The gorgeous blade design gives a graduated taper and each iron is optimised with a fine-tuned sweet spot height and CG (centre of gravity) to give that penetrating ball flight better/elite players love to see.
