The new Mizuno Pro 225 Graphite irons, or MP as many of you know the name are outstanding in looks, performance and technology. If you’re on the lookout for a compact player designed iron set but with high forgiveness and distance, you won’t go far wrong with this stellar set from Mizuno. You don’t necessarily have to be a single figure handicapper to play these irons either. The Tour-like profile is compact but feature-rich to aid forgiveness. The loudness and tone from the face of the clubs are unique to Mizuno, countless hours of research and designing have gone into this area.

The hollow-body construction is slimmed down to give an almost blade look, smaller and faster to give extra distance with every iron through the set. Graphite irons are much lighter in comparison to their steel counterparts. The lighter weight enables the player to produce greater swing speeds for more power, which in turn yields extra yardage. This is particularly helpful to senior golfers and players who have lost yards over the years for various reasons. The graphite as opposed to steel really enhances the overall look of the club.

Hot metal blade design for high-performance. The long and middle irons have a composite structure of chrome-molybdenum steel face, tungsten weight, and Chromoly 4135 steel body. With a high initial velocity and low centre of gravity design, you can confidently aim for the green with a high trajectory shot. The short irons have a composite structure of a soft iron face and a Chromoloy 4135 steel body. With a high centre of gravity design, you can attack the pin with low launch and high spin.

The Mizuno Pro 225 offers Tungsten weighting in the 2 to 7 irons to drive the centre of gravity even lower and deeper to give higher-launching long and middle irons. The Tour-proven CORETEC face once again provides the perfect partnership for high moment of inertia and Tour-tested soft feel and performance that Mizuno are renowned for. This new Mizuno Pro 225 is a significant improvement over previous MP models. The full-satin brushed finish looks pure class and also gives significantly reduced glare in bright sunlight.
