XCOR2 Technology takes over from the original XCORE and is specifically placed into these new GEN5 irons, the result of many years of research and development. The proprietary polymer material is soft and highly compressive to deliver greater face movement and a colossal sweet spot.

The ultra-thin face of the 0311 Gen5 P model is made possible by the use of high-strength HT1170 maraging steel that is the thinnest face in golf, this delivers unmatched feel and miss hit performance with every strike. Combined with the new and proprietary XCOR2 Technology, this gives unbeatable forgiveness and the highest C.O.R (Coefficient Of Restitution) ever by PXG irons. C.O.R in layman’s terms is a measure of velocity between two objects after they collide.

Every iron is 5x forged from 8620 soft carbon steel. This multiple forging process creates a tight grain structure and provides a distinctive sound and feel. The 8620 carbon steel is strong and durable which will extend the lifespan of the grooves. Every iron is milled on the back surface to reduce the wall thickness. This high-precision process creates a high-performance body design and further enhanced aesthetics. The large weight in the back of the iron allows players to experiment with different swing weights in a professional fitting.

This premium graphite shafted set is available in two finishes for you to choose from. With a non-glare chrome finish or an Xtreme dark colour, both options look amazing, giving you a tough choice to make. The Xtreme dark option uses a DLC coating (Diamond-like carbon) DLC creates a super-strong and highly durable coating that considerably prolongs the lifespan of the irons in terms of looks. This triple-layer DLC process includes a chromium base, carbon chromium middle layer and a high carbon outer layer. This coating is a mere 0.058” of an inch thick to provide exceptional wear resistance to the set.

0311 Gen5 irons undergo a precise robotic polishing process, this creates an extremely tight manufacturing process that gives consistent sole and faces perimeter geometry. Robotic laser welding gives high strength and a precise attachment method.

Behind the face is a U-shaped corridor that is built into the internal surface of the face. This innovative power channel technology increases deflection and bend in the top section of the face. The sound is majestic and puts a smile on your face with every strike.
