Every iron is 5x forged from 8620 soft carbon steel, a tight grain is achieved for the strength and to significantly prolong the life of the grooves. The appearance and feel is also very noticeable will this forged process. The irons come in a choice of two lovely finishes, both the chrome or Xtreme dark option look premium and classy. The Xtreme diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating creates a hard, graphite-like carbon-based coating that significantly extends the lifespan of the club. DLC is a premium three-layer process that includes a chromium base, carbon-chrome midlayer and high carbon top layer. This ultimate wear-resistance and gorgeous look will most certainly be appreciated across the board.

Precision weighting technology allows the one heavyweight located in the rear of the clubhead to be removed and replaced by others of differing weights to fully experiment with head configurations during a personal fitting. XCOR2 technology is many years in the making, resulting in extreme face deflection and monumental ball speeds. This polymer core material is designed specifically for the new Gen5 irons, extremely lightweight to reduce the mass of the core. Weight is positioned low and to the perimeter of the backside of the club, dramatically increasing the moment of inertia and forgiveness. 0311 Gen5 irons undergo a precise robotic polishing process, this creates an extremely tight manufacturing process that gives consistent sole and face perimeter geometry. Robotic laser welding reduced the heat-affected zone and gives high strength and exacting attachment method.

Just behind the face is a U-shaped corridor that is built into the inner surface of the face. This power channel technology increases deflection and bend in the top sector of the face. The sound and feel is exquisite as you would expect from PXG, nothing quite sounds and feels like a PXG iron.
