TaylorMade have just released their new Spider GT range, all-new designs and innovative ideas to help you sink more putts more often. The most striking feature of the new TaylorMade Spider GT short slant putter is the ultra-lightweight top plate that is made from premium 6061 aluminium and weighs in at only 145grams. This lighter weight in the middle of the putter makes for a more stable all-round putting experience. With a first of its kind multi-material design with two 90 gram steel side weights that pushes 82% of the total weight to the outer perimeter where it is much more efficient. The result is a consistent putter that provides fantastic stability on off-centre strikes. This GT model displays a subtle short sight-line for putting alignment.

A short slant hosel promotes more of an upward stroke into the golf ball. The short slant hosel also places the hands very slightly ahead of the ball both before and through impact. This is favoured by many golfers. The short slant design combined with the GT’s extreme perimeter weighting gives 21º of toe hang for a more vertical angle. This will suit players with a moderate face rotation in their putting stroke. With the centre of gravity or CG moved closer to the face for improved face rotation.

The lightweight top plate is engineered for both a premium look and also to increased durability compared to traditional paint or PVD finishes. With four anodised finishes to choose from, silver, black or red, a colour will stand out to suit your own personal taste. The ladies white model sees a three-dot sight-line for alignment.

This contemporary design uses the Tour-proven Pure Roll 2 co-moulded insert for improved forward roll and consistency across the entire face. The Pure Roll 2 is a more firmer insert, manufactured of black TPU Urethane with striking silver beams at a 45º angle, this is designed to further improve top-spin across the face.
